"Jameela
is a dedicated disciple of authentic Middle Eastern Dance. She is
a joy to teach and dance with. Look out for her Fab fingers." |
Jacqueline
Chapman, R.G.N., O.N.C. - Britain's
best-known Belly Dancer |

| “Hi,
and thanks for taking the time to view my site, here is some brief
text about me…I
could write a story about why
I chose to dance, why
I love Belly dancing
with
all my
heart and soul. |
|
If
you are a dancer yourself, you may know exactly what I mean. For
those of you who are not, and were just browsing, or perhaps you
maybe looking to hire a dancer and happened to find my site…,one
shimmy and you too will be completely hooked.” |
| Jameela
started to dance and perform from the age of 6. Modern, Jazz, Tap
and Ballet were her subjects at the Georgina O’Gorman School
of Dance. Whether it was a school play, talent show or in the family
living room, dancing has always been part of her life, and continues
to be so. |
Jameela
has always loved music and dance in a variety of forms and she retains
a great passion for it today. Belly Dancing was a mystical artform
that came along much later ….. |
|
| "Whenever
I saw a Bellydancer I was completely
mesmerised by
the nature of the dance, the costume, the presence and the music,
I just wanted to become part of that. So
with my all heart I became a student of the art of Belly Dance, and
the rest, as they say, is history.........." |
| |
| "Much
respect and thanks goes to Atiya (Julie Webster), Jacqueline Chapman,
Deniz and Serena, who I have studied with and who have helped me to
become the dancer I am today." |
